T-Rex Celebrates Women’s History Month

Date: March 10, 2021

T-Rex is celebrating the women who shaped the tech industry. As an IT company, we’re constantly working to shape an equitable future for all by challenging gender stereotypes and improving the representation of women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields. Through our cultural tenets, we support each other as we work together to deliver the best quality services to our customers. “Respect for the individual” is one of T-Rex’s core tenets. Under this tenet, we embrace individuality & diverse perspectives; we seek to understand each individual’s needs; and we treat everyone with dignity and compassion. This tenet makes our work better and our teams stronger.

We want to recognize a few pioneering women in STEM— the firsts of many who developed ingenious technology solutions that influence the work we do today. Some founded their own organizations to encourage women to embrace a career in STEM. Here’s who you should know:

As a company, we benefit from the hard work these women do to advance technology, inspire new talent, and break barriers. To ensure we are diversifying and retaining our talent, T-Rex’s employee resource group, the Women’s Networking Group (WNG), serves as a space for T-Rex to come together and make meaningful contributions to the professional and personal development of women leaders and individual contributors.

In honor of Women’s History Month, T-Rex’s WNG will be hosting a Leadership Summit to provide WNG members with professional development and leadership learning opportunities. T-Rex’s own AM Feehery will be featured as the keynote speaker and will be presenting on communication, specifically how to effectively communicate with executives. This keynote address will help participants effectively present, establish rapport, and engage executive audiences. Break-out rooms will be used as part of the summit to help participants apply what they’ve learned and share their experiences.

It is important for T-Rex to diversify our leadership to meet the growing challenges of Federal IT modernization, and our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiative will move us toward a more equitable future.  We believe it is important to foster environments in which women will be encouraged to pursue careers in technology and STEM fields. We are actively working to build and retain the best, diverse talent to help us better serve our customers.
